1. Product Introduction of Plain MDF

An engineered composite wood product made from residues of hardwood and softwood gluing together with wax and resin under extreme pressure and pressure is called Medium Density Fibreboard or MDF wood.Being free from defects, it is easily cut and shaped with both hand and machine tools to provide a surface which is easily painted or otherwise decorated.

The manufacturing process of MDF has changed a lot over time. Now advanced technology has changed the quality and saved time and cost of production. So it is a profitable business now a day.

3. Product Typical Feature of Plain MDF



Advantages of Medium Density Fiberboard


Followings are the advantages of MDF:


1) MDF has economic value to common people as it is cheaper at cost and inexpensive. So, they are within everyone's reach to purchase.


2) MDF saves trees as it is recycling process.


3) It is easy to take any color(abundant colors) where wood takes long tenure for staining different colors.


4) MDF does not have knots or kinks which disturbs the smooth surface.


5) MDF is resistant to some insects as some chemicals are used for the processing of MDF.


6) It can be painted or stained and given a look just the same as real wood(melamine MDF). So, it can replace the place of wood furniture.


7) Depiction on MDF is easier than on wood.


8) To provide MDF a look like real wood veneers, laminators may easily be attached to it.


9) The solid, dense, flat, stiff MDF is a good choice instead of wood.


10) MDF has no grain as it’s not a natural product, it’s easy to cut, drill without damaging.


11) It has excellent machining character for its suitable density.



4. Application of Plain MDF

6. Production-line,Package and Loading



Production line of Plain MDF


1) Debarking,The first step in the manufacturing of MDF board is Debarking. The bark of the soft wood of eucalyptus can be used as it is but to get the better quality of the final product the bark from the log is removed.


2) Chipping,Once the bark is removed the log is then stripped. The chipper drum reduces the logs into evenly shaped chips. 


3) Chip washer, the chips are then washed to check for the defects. The process also removes bits of bark, dirt, dust and so on.


4) Defibrator, before the defibration process, the chips are coated with molten paraffin wax. This glues the chips together. The glued chips are then dried by transporting through hot air dryer. This takes out the defective fibers.


5) Mat formation, the dry fibers are then conveyed to the mat forming system. Here they are dropped on the belt which is converted into an even mat with the help of the distribution arms,.The mat is rolled through a series of heavy roller which give them the desired thickness. The edge trimming saws trim the edges of the mat to give the desired length to the board. The mat is then passed through the hot press to make the strong bonding of the fiber mats. 


6) Cuuting size,the boards are weighed on a weighing platform, cooled to room temperature in a star cooler, and then stacked on a platform. They are then trimmed with the help of the saws to the required size.
